Veertien jaar geleden ontstond de Nederlandse firma S.H.A.R.K.! als Benelux-distributeur van ThunderBYTE antivirus-programma’s. Zeven jaar geleden nam het Noorse bedrijf Norman ASA de ThunderBYTE-technologie en ook distributeur S.H.A.R.K.! over. Norman is de fabrikant van de anti-virus software Norman Virus Control. Inmiddels is Norman/SHARK uitgegroeid tot het grootste antiviruscentrum in de Benelux.

Norman is niet alleen gespecialiseerd in anti-virussoftware, het portfolio omvat ook firewall, antispam, antispyware software en remote desktop support software, maximaal beveiligde biometrische USB producten en sloten & kabels. Hiernaast biedt Norman een aantal services zoals datarecovery, data erasure en computer forensics.

Via ongeveer duizend actieve sales partners worden de Norman-producten in de Benelux verspreid.
Er zijn inmiddels al meer dan honderdvijftigduizend gebruikers van Norman Virus Control in de Benelux, waaronder meer dan vijfentwintigduizend bedrijven en instanties.

Norman is niet alleen een verkoopkantoor, Norman onderscheidt zich door een groot serviceapparaat en een zeer deskundige helpdesk. Zo kan Norman de partners én de eindgebruikers ondersteunen met een inmiddels spreekwoordelijk geworden service én hen van dienst zijn met relevante nieuwe informatie en updates.
