Lufthansa Systems AS GmbH and Norman have signed an agreement on a strategic cooperation. Lufthansa Systems has chosen Norman as its supplier and strategic developer for smart card based security solutions. Lufthansa Systems perceives Norman Access Control and Norman Security Server as important elements in its "Active Security Concept" to secure work processes over the Internet and Intranet.
The Internet and Intranet have, at an increasing speed, become important parts of business processes. It is necessary to use security systems like access control, secure remote logon, encryption and firewall technology in order work in a secure and profitable manner over the net.
Smart cards play an important role in these solutions. The smart card is the key to an improved level of security. Lufthansa Systems AS GmbH is one of the leading suppliers and integrators of security solutions based on smart cards. Product manager at Lufthansa Systems, Ralf Struckmeier, says that; "The Active Security Concept Lufthansa has is the solution for a holistic integration of all security perspectives.
