Oslo, 4 April 2001

Norman ASA (www.norman.com) has today announced that Norman Virus Control v5 for the NT 2000 platform was awarded with the Virus Bulletin's 100% for April 2001. The award is given to products that are able to detect 100% of all viruses "in the wild."

The well-respected magazine Virus Bulletin has tested and controlled the world's leading anti-virus products since 1998. Presently the test is carried out every second month. The testing and subsequent award is considered to be a great recognition of the technical capabilities of the virus products.

- Happy news again for all Norman users and all those who rent our virus search engine for use in their own products, says Norman's manager for virus control development, Steinar Wigtil. - This again proves that Norman's search engine is among the world's leaders.

Virus Bulletin's 100%

The award is presented as follows by the Virus Bulletin magazine: "The Virus Bulletin 100% awards recognize those products best able to detect viruses known to be 'in the wild'. Unlike some other similar-sounding schemes, Virus Bulletin uses the most up-to-date WildList in its tests. This means that products that are 'up with the game' are the ones most likely to be granted VB 100% awards."
