Data security specialists Norman ASA have today announced that they have entered into an agreement with Swedish broadband company Utfors for delivery of their Norman Virus Control and Norman Personal Firewall. The security package will be offered to the 80.000 private customers with Internet and broadband access in Sweden initially and will gradually be offered to their customers in Scandinavia.
Utfors is the second ISP agreement Norman has signed in Sweden in the short time that the Swedish office has been established. With Utfors onboard, Norman has further strengthened their presence in Sweden.

It`s difficult to estimate the value of such an agreement. This deal with Utfors alongside a similar agreement with Tele2 signed in June this year has meant that Norman has increased their market share in Sweden dramatically, says Vice President Marketing Bjørn A. Windfeldt in Norman ASA.
Norman Virus Control is a collection of anti-virus programs and utilities that offers protection against malicious code including computer viruses, worms and trojans. The solution is easy to install and manage in networks and is almost invisible to the end-user in his daily work . In addition all program components can be automatically updated over the Internet to ensure maximum protection at all times with a minimum of effort. Norman Virus Control is considered by many to be one of the best products on the market and has received the last two 100% awards from magazine Virus Bulletin and was chosen as Editors Choice in Personal Computer World, a recognized UK IT publication.
The Norman Personal Firewall has been developed to offer home users and smaller organizations protection against their PCs becoming compromised by attacks from the Internet or the local network.
