Oslo, 31 January 2001

Norman ASA's US subsidiary has secured a contract to deliver Norman Risk Check, a risk analysis tool to the American company Integrated Communications Solutions (ICS). Norman Risk Check will be launched in Europe during the first quarter of 2001, and the first pilot contract in Norway was signed this week.

ICS will use the tool to carry out network inspections and risk assessments for its clients. Under the agreement, the product will also be made available to those ICS clients who request it. The total value of the contract for the present year is about NOK 1 million, with options for annual extensions. Norman Risk Check is an extensive analysis tool, which helps corporations and professional security consultants to identify and administer information risk and vulnerability over time. It helps to prioritise investment in information security and to determine where different resources should be allocated to safeguard data integrity, prevent security breaches and minimise the risk of sensitive data disappearing.

Norman Risk Check is supplied by Norman Security Solutions, and is sold primarily to - or in cooperation with - consultancies.

The Norman Risk Check product was launched in the US market in 2000. EDS became the first major customer for the product under a contract awarded in the summer of 2000. Norman Risk Check is launched in Europe during the first quarter of 2001. The first Norwegian contract was signed this week.

The Security Solutions business area also embraces the Norman Access Control, Norman Security Server, Norman Security Suite and Norman Risk Check.

ICS delivers network technology solutions to large companies and the public sector in the USA.
