Bjørn Fosli, President and CEO of Norman ASA has announced that he will be leaving his current position, and will be joining Axia Applikasjon, an ERP vendor, in a similar position. The new boss of the data security company will be Henning Hansen, who is currently the President and CEO of Gartner Group in Norway.

Henning Hansen has led the Gartner Group in Norway for the last 3 years. Prior to that he had worked in several managerial positions during the course of 8 years at Oracle Norway. Among these, he managed Oracle's key account sales and sale of applications.

-Henning Hansen has a broad experience of this industry, an impressive contact network and has had success at his previous positions. He will be a solid addition to Norman. The board has high expectations that he can contribute to strengthen Norman's position and brand in a dynamic market, says Norman ASA's board chairman, Svein R. Goli. Hansen will already be in place on 3rd May.

Bjørn Fosli has led Norman since April 1999, and came from the position of Nordic Sales Director at Baan. He will now be returning to the ERP market, and will be building up the applications business at the Norwegian based Axia A/S, which has 35 employees. Fosli is already the board chairman of Axia AS and is co-owner of Axia Applikasjon AS.

-I am fascinated by the thought of being able to build up this business from the start. The US based JD Edwards one of the world's largest vendors of business applications - chose Axia as its Norwegian partner some time ago. Axia has had a promising development since then and will now commence a new phase by increasing its activities in this growth market. This is something that I wish to be part of, says Fosli.

-Norman is in good shape, and the structural change of increasing focus within our three business areas has already produced results. Both Norman Virus Control and IBAS are performing well, and Security Solutions, which is still in an investment phase, is developing in line with plans, says Fosli. He will relinquish his position with immediate effect, but will continue to work on special projects for Norman until 30th June.

Norman ASA's board chairman, Svein R. Goli says that the board is well satisfied with the job that Bjørn Fosli has done in a difficult market.

-We understand his wish to be a part of building up a company in which he is already a co-owner, and in a industry sector he knows well, says Goli, who is also happy that a new boss is already in place to lead the company further.
