PRESS RELEASE
10 June 2003
Norman has entered into an agreement with Bredbandsbolaget, one of Sweden's largest ISPs to deliver its security software as part of a subscription service to Bredbandsbolaget's customers.
This subscription gives the user the possibility of securing himself against internet threats by means of continually updated virus protection and personal firewall software.
Pär Tyberg, business unit manager at Bredbandsbolaget says: - It is extremely important that Bredbandsbolaget is able to offer high quality security products. We chose Norman due to its leading technology and well recognized reputation in the market. They deliver what they promise.
The security subscription gives the user constantly updated protection with Norman Internet Control, which has the following functions: virus detection, virus control of incoming e-mail, blocking of suspicious attachments, protection against hacking, active content control on web-sites, choice of security levels etc. This service will be offered to all of Bredbandsbolaget's active users and new customers and will be readily accessible via the customer's own web portal account which will also provide further information on the service, links for downloading and other security information.
Thomas Thard, general manager of Norman Sweden says: - This is a very important agreement. At Norman Sweden, we are very happy to have Bredbandsbolaget, Sweden's second largest Internet Service Provider and one of Sweden's largest Broadband providers, as a customer. Through this partnership agreement, they add value in their distribution to retail customers.
