PRESS RELEASE   Oslo, 27 October 2003   Norman Data Defense Systems, today announces that Microsoft has decided to use Norman Virus Control v.5.6 with SandBox v.2 as part of their anti-virus security policy. The anti-virus software is used in Microsoft's release labs to ensure that all software is free from viruses and worms before being released to the end users. Microsoft has been one of the key partners in the beta testing of Norman Sandbox v2.

Norman with good growth in the third quarter
PRESS RELEASE   Oslo, 10 October 2003   Norman ASA had net revenues of NOK 63 million in the third quarter. This is an increase of 10% compared with the third quarter 2002. EBITDA for Norman for the quarter was NOK 14 million (2002: NOK 12 million), a margin of 22% (2002: 22%), and the pre-tax profit was NOK 12 million (2002: NOK 9 million), a margin of 18% (2002: 16%).

New email worm spreading rapidly
PRESS RELEASE   Oslo, 19 September 2003   Norman Data Defense Systems today issued a high alert for the new fast-spreading worm W32/Swen.A. This worm spreads through email, networks and chat programs. It uses a vulnerability in unpatched versions of Internet Explorer to execute without user interference to open the email attachment. Microsoft provided a patch for this vulnerability in 2001.

Norman focuses on new activity aimed at Identity theft
PRESS RELEASE   Oslo, 11 September 2003   The data security company Norman Data Defense Systems warns about an old threat that has been reactivated at an alarming speed recently - a special kind of identity theft. This has been named "phishing". The term is used for "fishing for personal information by imitating legitimate organizations".
