Press release
Oslo, 18 October 2005
Computer security company Norman has teamed up with Secure IT Alliance, a new consortium that links security partners working on Microsoft platforms.
Secure IT Alliance was created October this year with the intention of developing security solutions for Microsoft platforms. The alliance consists of a co-marketing program designed to enable various information technology companies to collaboratively promote solutions designed to improve the security of Microsoft’s family of Windows desktop, Windows Server System and Office systems.
- The security challenge has to be taken seriously and demands multilateral cooperation among security vendors. Membership in Secure IT Alliance is part of a common effort to handle the fast developing threats against IT security, says VP business and development Audun Lødemel at Norman ASA.
The Security IT Alliance is currently developing a community site that will be available later this year on this URL www.secureitalliance.org. The site will function as a place for sharing information and provide users with the latest security information from all members of the alliance.
- Through Secure IT Alliance we will work to integrate efficient security solutions in Microsoft platforms and share information and technology with other vendors in order to optimise security, says Lødemel.
