Norman Data Defense Systems has signed an agreement with the British Internet Service Provider (ISP) Supanet in which all Supanet customers are offered protection using Norman anti-virus products.

As a result of the agreement, Supanet is offering its customers a monthly subscription to the Norman Internet Control service. This gives users an integrated anti-virus, firewall and parental control suite, along with technical support. Norman has a unique proactive anti-virus solution, the Norman SandBox, that effectively stops new and unknown computer viruses.

The partnership is Supanet’s first security vendor partnership since the ISP launched in 1998, and it follows extensive testing of a range of security solutions over the last two years. The security service will help Supanet to further build its reputation as an attractive, family-friendly and cost effective ISP.

The partnership marks the latest stage of Norman’s UK strategic growth plans, which will see the company expanding from its core anti-virus specialism to providing complete online security, with leading-edge anti-spam and anti-spyware products.
