Innovation Norway and Norman ASA have signed a two years agreement on computer security.

Norman will provide the Norman Online Protection, a subscription service, that removes computer viruses and unwanted emails, called spam. Norman will scan and clean all emails through a filter located at Norman's before the files enter the organisation's own server.

In some periods of time as much as one out of 50 emails might be infected by a virus and every second email might be spam. The viruses are getting more and more sophisticated and there is an increasing need for effective protection.

- We chose Norman Online Protection because it is a secure, easy and affordable solution, says special adviser Espen Rud at Innovation Norway.

Norman Online Protection is using Norman SandBox technology, a unique proactive solution that detects new and unknown viruses before they even enter the customer's system. The solution is independent of traditional signature files.
