Once again Norman Virus Control has been granted the 100 % award from the renowned Virus Bulleting Magazine. This time version 5.82 was being exposed for testing and compared with other well known security solutions.

This months test was performed on Windows 2000 servers and 26 products were vying for the award. The in the wild test set was aligned with the June 2006 Wild List, which saw the addition of a sprinkling of familiar Mytob and Bagle variants, along with a few new names. On top of the additions to the Wild List the clean set was expanded somewhat, but the most significant change this month was a handful of new viruses which have been around for some time, and rarely trouble the users these days.

The jury stated that Norman Virus Control was that the installation was fast and simple with no reboot required. Detection of infected sets was very good and the Wild List and clean sets were dealt with without a flaw.
