Press release
Oslo, 6 April 2006
- Norman with quarterly virus reports
IT security company Norman ASA will as from today provide quarterly virus reports describing the propagation of computer viruses, vulnerabilities and other forms of malicious code. The report will be distributed every quarter and is provided by Norman’s own security experts.
The report provides detailed information on the existence of malware and threats during the latest three months. Information on phishing attacks will also be published.
- The purpose of the report is to provide the audience with an overview over what is actually happening in the dark side of the IT world. The more information and knowledge people get the more attention do they pay on security. We receive more than 1200 new viruses every day and this number is likely to increase in the future, says VP marketing and business development Audun Lødemel at Norman ASA.
The most prevalent threats last quarter were several vulnerabilities, Trojans and sophisticated viruses.
The report is available here.
