Norman’s new security solution ”Norman Security Suite” has once again achieved a “best in test” award. This time the Norwegian magazine and web site ITpro.no embraces the product. The test concludes: “Norman has really done a solid job and impresses greatly with its new and creative solutions.”

The test focused on the areas functionality, ease of use, performance and how quietly the program runs. Norman Security Suite is highly rated in all categories and ITpro.no is impressed by the fact that the program is effective at the same time as it isn’t resource-demanding. The reasons given by ITpro.no for Normans win was: “In addition to a solid firewall and its antivirus tools, the program has a parental control which made the difference making this package the winner of the test.”

Products from Trend Micro, F-Secure, NOD32 and Symantec were tested. All security packages covered several security areas as anti virus, firewall and parental control.

Norman Security Suite is a new generation of security products from Norman. The security package includes, among others, virus and spyware protection, personal firewall and parental control programs. The standard installation is very easy, while more advanced features can be configured if needed. The new Norman Security Suite also includes self defence modules protecting the computer from hackers and other attacks that hijacks the computer and turns off security functions.

Norman’s advanced SandBox technology, a proactive solution preventing attacks on the computer without the use of signature files for known viruses, is integrated in Norman Security Suite. Also included in the package is a screensaver search which performs virus searches while the computer is inactive. This makes it easier and less resource-demanding to protect the computer from malicious code.
