New Channel Partners Target Connecticut Small Businesses to Improve Information Security Capacity
(Fairfax, VA) - Norman Data Defense Systems, a specialist in the field of data security headquartered in Norway, announced today its plans to partner with two Connecticut IT companies to expand its ability to improve the information security capacity of small businesses throughout the area. These partnerships, with companies based in West Hartford and Stamford, extend Norman’s network of reseller partners in the Northeast as part of its strategy to provide blanket coverage of all geographic regions in the U.S.
"The small business sector is significantly under-served by security software developers," stated Hank Dugan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Norman Data Defense Systems, the North American subsidiary of Norman ASA. "By partnering with these IT firms in Connecticut, Norman is better able to meet the special data security needs of Connecticut’s small businesses through our top performing security products combined with old fashioned, individual customer service."
The two new Connecticut partners are:
- Impact Business Technology in Stamford, a consulting company offering computer technology services to small and medium sized businesses in Fairfield and Westchester Counties.
- Cooperative Systems in West Hartford, which provides information systems design, implementation and support services for a wide variety of businesses with a special emphasis on small businesses and non-profits.
"We’re extremely impressed with the solid performance of the Norman anti-virus product," stated Neil Holme of Impact Business Technology. "In particular, the network administration component of Norman Virus Control operates at the highest level. Also, Norman’s two-year product licensing offers small business and home office customers very competitive pricing and convenience. There is simply no contest with other anti-virus vendors."
"We’re pleased to offer Norman security products to our customers," said Jim Crum, a partner at Cooperative Systems, LLC. "Norman is geared towards the small business which doesn’t have the IT staff to reinstall software program updates every three months when new versions come out. And Norman’s automatic update function deploys new pattern files and program updates from one central server. This makes life easy for our customers."
