Security software specialist recruits distributor for market growth

Security software specialist Norman Data Defense Systems has added further muscle to its UK and Ireland channel operations by signing up Arc Technology as a key value added distributor.

The agreement sees Norman’s entire product range - including the “flagship" Norman Virus Control and Norman Ad Aware anti-spyware products - available through Arc’s resellers.

Arc Technology, which already turns over £6 million, is building its security portfolio alongside its other main strengths in connectivity, networking and servers.

Norman, which has had a UK presence since 1998, is investing heavily in a dual strategy of a wider product portfolio beyond its renowned anti-virus solutions as well as a greater UK channel network.

David Robinson, Norman’s UK general manager explained: “This agreement is an exciting step forward as Norman expands its UK reseller channel. Arc Technology is a specialist distributor with a track record of opening up new markets - we share their commitment to growth. As our product offer develops, we will be working closely with Arc to maximise new opportunities."
