Double click on the Norman Ad-Aware icon on your desktop, or alternatively go to Start > all programs > Norman Ad-Aware and select launch Norman Ad-Aware by clicking on the Norman Ad-Aware icon in the group, this will launch the program.

Click the start button and the scan will run and a new window will open, you will be presented with a series of scan options, if this is the first time you have scanned, or you prefer an extra thorough scan select ‘Perform full system scan’ and then the Next button.

As the scan progresses you will see the name of the files being scanned under the Current Operation field, this scan may take a few minutes depending on how fast your machine is.

When the scan has completed you can select the ‘Show Logfile’ button to see an in depth analysis of the scan that has taken place, or click next for a scan summary, normally the items found will be tracking cookies or similar, select the items you wish to remove by ticking them individually or to select them all right click on any item and choose ‘Select all objects’ You can then choose Next where you will be prompted to remove the objects, click Ok to quarantine and complete the process.
