Select countryYou can make your own custom entries to Sites.txt by using a text editor such as Notepad. This method also allows you to edit or remove existing entries, to do this:
- Close Ad-Watch & Ad-aware
- Browse to C:\Program Files\Norman\Norman Ad-Aware SE Plus or C:\Program Files\Norman\Norman Ad-Aware SE Professional depending on the version you are running.
- Locate the current Sites.txt
- Open Sites.txt by double clicking on it, this will open it in Notepad
- You will see a long list of names and IP addresses, these are the sites that are monitored for, you can add new entries at any point either by typing them, or simply copying and pasting the URL you wish to block, we recommend adding them at the top of the list so you easily keep track of your additions.
- When you have finished modifying Sites.txt save and close it
- Restart Ad-Watch

Remember that for all entries in SITES.TXT Ad-watch uses implicit "wild cards," which allow Ad-watch to block unwanted pop-ups efficiently.

...will block pop-ups that hail from any of the following URLs:
http://pop-up.doubleclick.net/
htts.doubleclick.net/
http://pop.ads.doubleclick.net/
http://www.doubleclick.net/popups/ads.asp
