A more intelligent tray icon saves you the trouble of manually checking the state of the different components in the installation. Whenever there is something you should be aware of or act upon, the tray icon will display the relevant symbol with explanatory mouse-over hints.
| Yellow triangle - the On-access scanner is not running or a computer restart is needed to complete an update.

| Red circle - the installation is not behaving according to the configuration. If this symbol occurs, you will most likely solve the problem by running Delnvc5, a program that resides within the folder ...\Norman\Nvc\Bin. Select Repair.

| Cog - the installation is being updated automatically in the background. You should not restart your computer while this symbol is visible.
