Problem

After upgrading my Norman Virus Control and Norman Personal Firewall combination packet (NIC), I am no longer able to access my intranet resources.

Solution

Your Security Preference for Intranet configuration is probably too strict.
Open the Personal Firewall settings. Select Security among the icons on the left side. Change Security Preference to allow whatever appropriate to your installation.
