Problem
After upgrading to 5.8 my NVC installation does not work any longer. I have tried all suggestions in your FAQ, but to no avail. What should I do?

If none of the suggestions in our FAQ solved your problem, you should consider a complete reinstall. Please follow these instructions:
- Uninstall NVC
Download the uninstall program Delnvc5 for NVC/NIC version 5.x from this link. Run it and select Remove|Next|Finish. - Restart the computer
- Delete the Norman folder or as much as the content of this folder that you are able to delete.
There may be a few files that you will not be able to delete. - Download the latest installation package and run the installer to reinstall Norman Virus Control.

Note: If programs that protect startup keys (Run) in Registry are installed, for example antispyware software, you must make sure that the real-time protection in these are disabled before you install/update Norman Virus Control.
