After installing/upgrading NVC, network logon and network applications are considerably slower than before.

As of NVC 5.5 the On-access scanner, by default, scans files that are opened from network drives. This is done to protect environments where the server itself is not protected by antivirus software.

In environments where the servers that the network drives are residing on, are protected by a local NVC installation, we recommend that you exclude files on network drives from scanning:

1. Open Default.ndf from the folder ...\Distrib\Nvc\Config
2. Select Files on network drives from the Exclude from scan section on the tab Scanning in the On-access scanner configuration
