There are several ways to uninstall Norman Virus Control (NVC) / Norman Internet Control (NIC) version 5.x 

  1. The most common procedure is by selecting Add or Remove programs from the Control panel in Windows. Highlight Norman Virus Control / Norman Internet Control and select Change/Remove. Then select Remove from the uninstall dialog. We recommend that the computer is restarted after uninstall. 
  2. Run the program DelNVC5.exe to uninstall Norman Virus Control / Norman Internet Control from a computer.

    You will find DelNVC5.exe in the ...\norman\nvc\bin directory of your installation or you may download it from the link below.

Usage:

No parameters:

A dialog asking if you want to Repair or Remove the installation is displayed. Select Remove to start the uninstall process.

Optional parameter:

either: /quiet that starts the removal of NVC/NIC in quiet mode (no GUI)

Example: delnvc5 /quiet

or: [path], which is the path to the NVC/NIC installation directory. If this path is not correctly given, the program tries to uninstall from Norman’s installation directory. Runs in quiet mode.

Example: delnvc5 c:\norman
