Problem

When trying to install Norman Virus Control I get the message "Incomplete uninstallation detected."

Solution

After uninstalling NVC, you must restart the computer before reinstalling. This is to ensure the previous installation will be completely removed, as several files may be scheduled to be deleted in the next boot. If you have already restarted the computer and still get this error message, you should look for- and delete the file Nvc5.txt in the Windows directory (%windir%).
