In its security bulletin summary for October 2004 Microsoft reports ten new vulnerabilities in its operating systems and programs, seven of which are defined as critical.

Critical is Microsoft's highest vulnerability rating.

Updates that fixes the vulnerabilities are available from Windows update mechanism for those systems that support this. Other operating systems supported by Microsoft may download updates from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.

Norman advices all affected users to download the security updates as soon as possible, to be protected from potential exploits.
