Security advisory

Flash animations and use of Flash as web technique for displaying content have been increasingly popular for web developers. Several operating systems (e.g. Windows) are installed by default with Flash.

Adobe has recently announced that an update that fixes several vulnerabilites in Adobe Flash Player is available. These are serious vulnerabilities that could permit an attacker to take complete control of an affected system if the user were tricked to load a specially created Flash file.

More information in Abobe's Security bulletin where there are also links to downloading the latest version of Adobe Flash Player as well as a page where you can test which version that you have installed. Note that you must update each web browser if you use more than one browser.

Norman advices all affected users to update to the securer version of Adobe Flash Player.
