Microsoft's Internet Explorer has been the culprit of the web browsers for several years. One may argue that this as been unjust and the reason why is that Internet Explorer was by far the most popular browser in use.
However, in recent months the Mozilla organization's Firefox has gathered much attention and popular use. Estimation is that more than 10% of the web surfers use Firefox.
And - interestingly - we see that there are security holes recognized in Firefox. Important ones even! Firefox 1.0.3 was released to fix several security issues in previous versions.
When this security information is written, another set of securtiy issues is reported - severe ones.

Securnia rates this as extremely critical.
As of this writing the Mozilla organisation has not come up with any patch.
It may be that Microsoft's Internet Explorer was blamed just for being famous and popular...
Update 2005.05.12:
Mozilla.org has released Firefox version 1.0.4 which fixes these reported vulnerabilities.
Norman recommends that all users of Firefox update to the latest version of this browser.
Update 2005.10.12:
Mozilla.org has released new versions later. One of these fixes security holes described in this Security Advisory from Norman.
The latest version of Firefox should be available from this link.
