- At the moment Norman has no information about any particular threats against computer users that should indicate an elevated threat level.
- To keep your systems protected remember to
- update your antivirus software often and regularly
- use a firewall between your system(s) and the Internet
- install the latest security patches/updates from the provider of your operating system and applications
About the different threat levels

Low threat level
The normal situation.
There are threats, but none of these are viewed as particularly dangerous for the vast majority of the Internet community.

Medium threat level
One or more threats represent a particular danger for a significant number of people and/or organizations. This can be malicious programs and/or vulnerabilities in wide-spread software.

High threat level
An particularly high alert situation.
The threat level will be assessed as high in situations when there is a pandemic outbreak of malicious software; published, unpatched vulnerabilities that are being actively exploited in wide-spread software; botnets that are performing particularly dangerous activity in a large scale, etc.
