Add a custom logo to the Norman Patch & Remediation update agent
Problem description
When the end-users are notified about a pending deployment or a reboot, you would like to show your own custom logo in the patch agent.
Solution
-
Log onto the Patch & Remediation Console > Review > Other > Packages.
-
Click Create button to launch the Local Package Editor Wizard.
-
Package Information: fill out the Name, Description, and Information URL.
-
Operating System: select the operating systems.
-
Files and Directories: Right mouse click on Target Computer > Create Folder > enter the following folder name %GRAVITIXDIR% and click Create. Select the %GRAVITIXDIR% > right mouse click > Add File > Add logo.bmp.
NOTE: %GRAVITIXDIR% is an internal environment variable that can be interpreted by the Patch and Remediation Module. This variable will place the logo.bmp to the following folders:

-
Complete the Local Package Editor Wizard and schedule the deployment to your target computers.

Logo.bmp should be placed in the following folder:
-

-
Windows x64 - C:\Program Files (x86)\Norman\Patch Agent\
To test your custom logo, deploy the A - Deployment Test and Diagnostic Package to a couple of endpoints with the Patch Module installed to make sure you are satisfied with the image.
