Norman Virus Control for Linux is an antivirus application for Linux, offering both On-access and On-demand scanning of files residing on the servers or workstations. Norman Virus Control (NVC) for Linux is compatible with all major Linux distributions.

The On-Deamand scanner is used to manually scan selected areas of a machine for viruses, and can also scan remote NFS volumes. This scanner can use Norman’s SandBox technology to further increase protection by detecting new unknown computer virus, worms, trojans before they can cause harm.

Norman Virus Control for Linux is available in the three most popular package formats for Linux; RPM, DEB and TGZ.
