Sandmen with the globe

Malicious software is constantly evolving and using new techniques to propagate

Malware attacks are becoming more and more sophisticated. Simultaneously there is an increasing pressure on security managers to protect the environment with secure and cost-effective solutions.

Such solutions should be able to protect against brand new threats as well dangerous software that has been around for several years. Even zero-day exploits should ideally be stopped by the systems in place.

All Norman's antivirus products use Norman SandBox Technlogy - a virtual environment where programs may perform in safe surroundings without enterferring with the real processes, program files and network environment. If a program performs actions that the SandBox regards as suspicious, using a set of parameters, the program is "tagged" as a malicious program.

Thus, this technology is able to protect even against day-zero exploits.

The challenge

Traditional signature based antivirus systems leave your infrastructure unprotected for hours when a new virus starts to spread.

The technology

By testing the program/code in a secure, emulated environment, we can prove irregular behavior. Viruses are stopped before they can infect your real systems.
