Crash in Norman Personal Firewall setup wizard

Probleem omschrijving

After completing the Norman Personal Firewall setup wizard, it crashes with the following error message:

AppName: npfwiz.exe AppVer: 7.10.2.1 ModName: msvcrt.dll
ModVer: 7.0.2600.2180 Offset: 0001a61d.

Probleem oplossing

We are not sure exactly what causes this problem. Until we have found a permanent solution, the following workaround should be used.

1. Choose Start|Run
2. Run the command
   "c:\program files\norman\npf\bin\npfwiz" /bypass:beginner
3. Restart your PC

Note! If necessary, change the path in step 2 to reflect the actual install location of Norman Security Suite.

This procedure will bypass the firewall setup wizard, and enable the firewall in beginner mode. If you want to enable the firewall in advanced mode, please use the switch /bypass:expert instead of /bypass:beginner.
