Security updates solve critical vulnerabilities

In its security bulletin summary for January 2005 Microsoft reports three new vulnerabilities in its operating systems and programs, two of which are defined as critical. These two vulnerabilities could both allow remote code execution.
Critical is Microsoft's highest vulnerability rating.

Updates that fixes the vulnerabilities are available from Windows update mechanism for those systems that support this. Other operating systems supported by Microsoft may download updates from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
Norman advices all affected users to download the security updates as soon as possible, to be protected from potential exploits.
