Problems running Scandisk and Defrag

Problem description

After installation of NVC 5.x Scandisk and Defrag will not operate successfully on my Windows 95/98/Me computer.

Scandisk and Defrag will start over again each time some component performs write operations on your disk. Some of the NVC modules do this in order to keep your protection up-to-date.

Problem solution

Download and run this tool (Ndefrag) for Windows 95/98/Me to work around the problem.

Here is what Ndefrag will do:

  1. Warn you that your PC will remain unprotected while scandisk/defrag is running
  2. Prompt you to run scandisk or defrag
  3. Automatically start NVC again when the operation is completed

Note! Your PC is not protected as long as the scandisk/defrag operation is taking place.
