How can I check that NVC is up-to-date?
Problem solution
You can find the version number of Norman Virus Control by choosing Update status... from the tray icon menu (N).
Update status... will give you the version number of NVC itself, as well as the version number and "Last updated" time for Norman Scanner Engine/virus definition files. To consider Norman Virus Control as up-to-date, the last updated time for Norman Scanner Engine should be no older than a three of days from the current date.
You should not worry if scanner engine’s version number differs from the current version number of NVC. The scanner engine has its own internal version number.
