Problem description

What does it mean when the green Norman tray icon has a cog on it?

Problem solution

The tray icon is displayed with a yellow cog when your installation is being updated automatically in the background. You should not restart your computer while this symbol is visible.

If the cog symbol remains on the tray icon for more than 20 minutes, we recommend that you run a repair of your installation.
