Restoring NEP Appliance / NetProtector 3000 to factory default

Problem description
In some situations it might be needed to restore the appliance to factory default.
Problem solution
- Power off the appliance.
- Disconnect all network cables
- Power on the appliance and listen. The appliance will beep once, and then a second time after a short while.
- Right after the second beep, turn the front wheel counterclockwise for approximately five seconds.
- The LED-display will show you the system restore menu after a short time. You can navigate the menu by turning the front wheel and pushing it to select.
- Choose Restore System in the menu and confirm that you wish to restore the system.
- The system will now restore the factory image. This will take approximately 30 minutes and will involve a reboot. No interaction is needed, the appliance will shut down when the restore is finished.
