This information is relevant for customers who want to upgrade to Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system and who have security to software from Norman already installed on the computer.

Status for Norman's programs - consequences when updating - recommendations
Norman Security Suite
Norman Security Suite is compatible with Windows Vista.
Norman Security Suite is available in the folllowing program versions (single user only):
- Norman Security Suite (all program versions mentioned below included)
- Norman Security Suite Antivirus & Antispyware
- Norman Security Suite Personal Firewall
- Norman Security Suite Parental Control
Norman Virus Control
Norman Virus Control updated with the latest program modues is compatible with Windows Vista.
Norman Personal Firewall (version 1.x)
Norman Personal Firewall version 1.x is not and will not be available in a Vista-compatible version.
Before you upgrade you operating system to Windows Vista, you must remove Norman Personal Firewall version 1.x. from your computer, otherwise the operating system upgrade may fail severely and you may have problems completing the upgrade.
Recommendation:
Norman recommends that you upgrade to Norman Security Suite Personal Firewall (see above). Please contact a local reseller or purchase on our webshop.
Norman Internet Control
Norman Internet Control is not and will not be available in a Vista-compatible version.
Before you upgrade you operating system to Windows Vista, you must remove Norman Internet Control from your computer, otherwise the operating system upgrade may fail severely and you may have problems completing the upgrade.
Recommendation:
Norman recommends that you upgrade to Norman Security Suite (see above). Please contact a local reseller or purchase on our webshop.
Norman Ad-Aware Plus
Norman Ad-Aware Plus is compatible with Windows Vista.
Norman Ad-Aware PRO
Norman Ad-Aware Professional is compatible with Windows Vista.
Norman Virus Control Plus
Norman Virus Control Plus is not and will not be available in a Vista-compatible version.
Before you upgrade you operating system to Windows Vista, it is recommended that you remove Norman Virus Control Plus from your computer. Norman Virus Control Plus will not function properly on Windows Vista operating system.
Recommendation:

Norman Internet Control Plus
