Problem description

I am not able to migrate Norman Virus Control to Norman Endpoint Protection on 64 bit operating systems.

Problem solution

Migration of clients with 64 bits operating systems is currently not supported. To install Norman Endpoint Protection on such clients, perform the following steps:

  1. Uninstall Norman Virus Control on all 64 bits operating systems. Use the uninstaller available from the link below.
  2. Reboot
  3. Install Norman Endpoint Protection using the method of your choice (pushinstall from NEM server or MSI installer created on NEM server).

If you have a high number of 64 bits clients in the network we recommend scripting the procedure.
