The SMTP banner of my Norman Email Protection displays the local server name instead of the public name when I telnet to my server. For example, your server name may display as server01.domain.local instead of mail.domain.com in the SMTP banner.
It’s not currently possible to change this value in the Norman Email Protection Administrator (GUI) and the change will have to be done in the registry.
Change the following key in the registry to change the public name of your mail server:
Once you have made the change in the registry you will have to restart the service MODUSCFG (Mail Server Configuration Service) for the changes to take effect.
