nnf.exe high cpu use
Norman Security Suite Pro includes the module Intrusion Guard. This module consists of several sub-modules, one of them being a URL blocker that blocks access to malicious websites.
We release definition file updates to the URL blocker twice every hour. During installation of the definition file nnf.exe will consume a lot of cpu. On a high end PC this should normally barely be noticable, as the installation should finish within seconds or a few minutes at most. Thus, this is mainly a problem on low-end systems with a single core CPU.
As a temporary workaround you can go into Settings and reduce the update interval to f.eg 24 hours.
We are working on a fix and will hopefully release it during the next couple of weeks. This article will be updated as soon as the fix has been released.
Update: A fix has been released through Internet Update.
